Works included removing the entire wet well components including pumps, pedestals, pipework, valves, handrails and ladders and replacing with new equipment. This consisted of ABS pipework, Flygt pumps and Pedestals, resilient seated ACC sluice valves, Swingflex check valves, rated 316 S/S lifting chains, 316 S/S sch40 guide rails and AS1657 compliant alloy handrails and ladders.
Also included in the works was the removal of both of the concrete well lids and fitting new Class B rated lids complete with greater access hole sizes to suit the larger pumps. This was complimented with the fitting of 4 sided void protection safety access covers and 316 S/S baffle plates to control the level of aeration in the sewage hence reducing cavitation wear.
